Do abilities which trigger when 'a Character in this Unit Wounds an Enemy Unit'  trigger from Strained?

Let's say a Unit A was Wounded due to Damage from a Strained condition, applied via an attack by Unit B. Unit B has an ability that triggers when it Wounds an Enemy Unit. Does Unit B's ability trigger?

Not from damage caused by the Strained condition resolving, no. Strained is a non-player effect once its been applied to a character and thus no character, Unit or player is considered to have caused that damage.

Not to sound dense, but does that mean that it's having a second sentence that starts with "Then" that makes the difference, and we can look for that structure as our standard 'we can figure it out ourselves' guide?

No. In that particular sentence, its the words after the "Then" that are important.

"Then, the character that moved..." - This is the condition

I also have a question regarding this topic:

if I draw the Shatterpoint Card and spend a force to shuffle it back in. The next card is a battle tactic card:

Would i shuffle the deck before or after I resolve the battle tactic and drew another card? (So would it be possible to draw Shatterpoint - Battle Tactic - Shatterpoint)

You would shuffle your Shatterpoint card back into your deck before you resolve the battle tactic.

So, do we hold off on Shoves, etc. from Expertise until after the attack is resolved (steps 10A and 10B), but apply them immediately within the Options as they are a selected (Step 8)?

    Correct.

Combat tree direct and personal effects resolve in Step 8, during each option choice, except for active ability, which occurs in 10c

Attack expertise directed(other than damage) and personal effects resolve in 10a
Defender expertise directed and personal effects in 10b

I had not previously noticed that the rule appears to allow a model to be Pushed/Pulled the full length 'over' terrain features at a lower elevation, but does not allow the same 'over' (overlapping) a character at a lower elevation.

A "Snip'et" on page 26 actually clarifies that characters at different elevations are never considered to be overlapping

If Captain Rex is strained when he activates, can he use his Tactical Get a Move On, Solider on himself, choose not to dash and gain a hunker token, triggering Bring It On, Clankers which allows Rex to heal off the Strain before it would trigger dealing 3 damage?

    Yes

Or would the Strain deal 3 damage from the Tactical ability before Bring It On, Clankers could heal it off?

The use of Tactics abilities do not trigger the Strained condition.

I'm assuming that if two characters were on the same level and there is blockable terrain that is over height 2; that would be considered out of line of sight.

If the Blocked Terrain is a higher elevation then both characters (meaning its greater than the Range 2 tool taller than them), the line of sight would be blocked.

But once you put a character at a different level. It's now considered in line of sight. I'm I correct here

Not quite. If some Blocked Terrain was between them that had a higher elevation than both characters, Line of Sight would be blocked.

For abilities like Surely you can do better & Tempered Aggression after the unit has been wounded once does it cost 1 additional force plus the number of force being spent or does it cost 1 additional force for each force being spent?

1 additional force per Wounded and Injured token when using the ability.

Example: Dooku has been wounded once if he were to use Surely you can do better to change 3 strike results into 3 failures wound it cost 4 force or 6 force?

    4 Force

Sorry I should have been more clear with my question.  I was clarifying whether tempered aggression and I'm always first kid can be used with a coordinated fire.

Tempered Aggression and Coordinated Fire share the same event, so cannot both be used for that event.

I'm always first, Kid and Coordinated Fire do not share the same event.

    Good to know!

Is there some general guidance we can apply when confronted with language like this? It would be useful to be able to know what differentiates this instance from other "then" cases.

    Thanks.

Your looking for language that explicitly references a conditional statement like that found on Fierce Protector from Ahsoka Tano, Jedi No More. The second sentence starts with "Then, the character that moved..." which is conditional on the character having actually moved.

How does this interact with X23 (and Angela and Carnage) Frenzy timing? Does the power gain happen in time to pay for Frenzy (assuming you did not have power prior to the attack)?

The character gaining the power is not the character making the attack, neither of those superpowers would be applicable.

It has been ruled here that the damage from Black Bifrost is an enemy effect. Is the place from Black Bifrost (and Pentagrams) an enemy effect?

    Yes

If yes does M'baku leadership force a mandatory stop to the place?

If the character is contesting an objective token, it would force you to roll a die and potentially stop the Place, yes.

I couldn’t find this when I searched for Xavier’s dream

if I pay 2 power with a model holding a hammer to prevent damage with Xavier’s dream

does it prevent 1 or 2 damage?

    edit:

re read hammers and it’s only one

Power spent towards satisfying the conditions of Fear Grips World as "Worthy" Terrorize Cities does not count as power spent towards playing a tactic card.

but for future if something did increase the cost would it reduce 2?

We can't cover hypothetical questions like this as the answer depends on the specific wording in question
