  1. Hello,

Can he still make ranged attack against all other enemies at r2 ignoring this enemy in melee

No. If IG-11 is engaged, he may not make ranged attacks.

    2 hours ago, MakTwist said:

he can make 1 melee attack against it (as he has melee attack with 4 red dice) and if he finishes it he can continue to shoot in others?

Yes, if a melee attack performed by IG-11 results in it no longer being engaged, he may declare and resolve ranged attacks.

    2) Does this card allow to make 2 or more melee attacks in melee (if he is engaged with 2 or more enemy units)?

    Yes.

    Hope this helps,

  2. Hello,

The 327th Star Corps Elite Armor Pilots upgrade card grants surge to crit while attacking if a friendly unit uses Fire Support. Note that the Beam X keyword allows the unit to declare up to X additional attacks at additional defenders using the weapon with the Beam X keyword. As the additional targets are additional (separate) attacks, they will need to have dice added by way of a friendly unit's Fire Support to gain surge to crit; one Fire Support will not grant the Infantry Support Platform surge to crit for all of its attacks.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  3. Hello,

The "Specialist" upgrades (Rebel Trooper Specialist, Stormtrooper Specialist, Clone Trooper Specialist) grant the unit an aim, dodge, or surge token (depending on the upgrade) as a free action. A free action, if not specified otherwise, may be performed during a unit's Perform Actions step, but will not "interrupt" another action, such as an attack action, that is being resolved.

The corps unit in question will have to exhaust their upgrade card to gain an aim token prior to declaring and resolving an attack action. It may not be exhausted during the Reroll Attack Dice step.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

    1.     could the unit be displaced?

Yes. Note that, when a unit leader is displaced that are placed at a speed-1 move from their original position, but do not perform a move. Displacement will not be at all affected by any immobilize tokens the unit may have.

1 hour ago, Task Master Wei said:

    2.    Could it be forced to redo its cohesion due to being displaced or hit by a weapon with the [scatter] keyword?

    Yes.

    3.    If a vehicle ran into said unit’s unit leader and stopped short since the unit cannot perform any kind of move, however, displaced one or more models in the unit, does the unit gain a suppression token?

The vehicle would not be forced to "stop short" of the unit; see above. Yes, it will gain suppression if displaced.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

If IG-88 is engaged in melee, my understanding is that he is able to perform a melee attack and fire his modified E-11 blaster as that weapon has versatile and he has Arsenal 2.

Correct! IG-88 may make form two attack pools thanks to Arsenal 2, and may use the E-11 ranged weapon while engaged thanks to the Versatile keyword.

    14 hours ago, Fenix21 said:

Given the wording of Arsenal 2, Can he perform a ranged attack (while engaged) with the E-11 (Versatile) and then add the DLT-20A dice to the attack pool with arsenal 2, even if the second weapon does not have the versatile keyword?

No. Only weapons with the Versatile keyword may be selected when performing ranged attacks while engaged.

Additionally does this count as 2 attacks for the sake of Hunter generating aim tokens?

Yes, each time the Reroll Attack Dice step is reached (twice in this case if forming two attack pools), if the target unit is wounded, an aim token may be gained from the Hunter upgrade card.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  6. Hello,

If said terrain is obstacle terrain & taller than a unit's silhouette, that unit may not move over or through it without performing a climb move. Abilities that provide moves (page 25), such as those quoted, are standard moves and not climb moves, and so cannot be performed to move over obstacle terrain taller than the unit's silhouette.

If it is not obstacle terrain, but scatter terrain or area terrain, then units may move through it irrespective of height unless it was determined to be Impassable.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

What would happen if a unit carrying a hostage is placed within proximity of a Kablamo token during the deployment step? Would it explode because this predates the Turn 1 immunity effect?

Cad Bane's I Make the Rules Now is Divulge: Deploy Units Step. Units are placed, moved, and assigned claimed objective tokens in the Hostage Exchange mission prior to the Deploy Units step - specifically, in the Resolve Objective and Condition Cards step.

    4 hours ago, Beefcake4000 said:

What would happen if instead they walked into proximity to reveal that token during Turn 1?

Due to the Immune: Enemy Effects keyword, a unit with the Hostage upgrade card cannot be affected by a Kablamo token. The token will still be revealed, and resolved against any other eligible units if in range and LOS of them.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  8. Hello,

Impact and Guardian are both resolved during the Modify Attack Dice step. The attacker modifies attack dice first (page 30) during this step, which means they will apply their Impact keyword as eligible to modify dice before any results are canceled by the defender's Guardian.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

for case 1 im assuming you just can't do that, so would have to choose a different unit. but if there are no legal options, would you still have to discard the card and get no effect?

Yes. The player has discarded Ace Up His Sleeve - if there are no eligible units to order, the effect is wasted.

On 2/23/2023 at 2:16 PM, FatalSwordsmen said:

for case 2, im curious how you proceed. do you go back to the choice of activating a unit with a faceup/pulling an order, or do you have to pull an order?

The player will draw from their order pool. They have already forgone the option of activating a face-up unit, as Ace Up His Sleeve is discarded before drawing from your order pool.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  10. Hello,

The Independent keyword provides the specified tokens if Cad Bane does not have an order token at the start of the activation phase.

If Cad Bane's Here I Am token is voluntarily flipped by the controlling player at the start of the round, that is prior to the start of the activation phase. If Cad Bane has an order token at the start of the activation phase, he will not benefit from the Independent keyword.

Cad Bane will gain tokens from Independent if not on the battlefield at the start of the activation phase, and will have those tokens if revealed during the activation phase.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

Is that enough to start melee?

Yes, in your example, Luke Skywalker is in base contact with the enemy mini (Iden's ID10 Seeker Droid). The minis are touching when viewed from above, and the vertical distance between the two bases is no greater than the height of the lower miniature’s silhouette.

Refer to the Bases and Base Contact section on page 5 of the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook for the full details!

Note that the Small keyword only affects LOS, cover, and range. An enemy mini may still move into base contact with ID10, moving into melee.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth
