Momentum when the struggle token doesn't move
Negoldar replied to zeusjus's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
It refers to that step happening. The Struggle token does not need to move for players to gain Momentum if the conditions for gaining Momentum are met given the final position of the Struggle token. To answer the second question directly, yes, that player would gain Momentum.- 6 replies

Gaining strain mid-action
Negoldar replied to Quinn's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
The Strained condition will trigger after the first attack is completed. -
If the Struggle token is not on the zero position in the center of the Struggle tracker, yes, you may put a Momentum token on the Struggle token. This will complete the Struggle. You cannot put Momentum in the zero position.

Start of activation abilities
Negoldar replied to Firefly's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
Appendix A covers this. When two effects share the same timing and no attack is in progress, active player triggers and resolves all of their abilities first. Then go to the next player in turn order. If the next player finds that their trigger is not met at this time, that ability cannot trigger. In this specific scenario, the two rules do not share the exact same timing though. As can be seen in the activating a unit timing chart, Tactic abilities (CC-7567 Captain Rex) will occur before Reactive abilities(Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter). Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter cannot use Not So Fast as the activating character is not within Range 3 when he would be able to use it. This would be true in this scenario and the scenario where both shared the exact same timing.- 1 reply

No. They only need to deploy within Range 1 of the Primary Unit for their squad. After deployment they do not have to remain within a certain distance of each other.

Coordinated Fire Triggering Twice?
Negoldar replied to dskylark's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
No. Each player is limited to one Reactive per triggering effect. Both of these Units’ Coordinated Fire abilities share the same reaction so the player will need to pick one. -
