This is correct. The characters at a different level from the objective are ignored due to the presence of characters at the objective’s elevation.

Orientation of struggle cards
Negoldar replied to stranglebat's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
The player that won the priority roll should be able to read the card normally (card bottom pointed to their side of the table). -
Yes. Keep in mind measurements do not consider the vertical component at all. All measurements should be done horizontally.

Does reactives abilities have a cost ?
Negoldar replied to Sultan's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
All Active and Reactive abilities have a cost. If there are no Force icons next to the name of the ability, the cost is 0. Yes, you have it correct. No So Fast costs 1 Force to use. Coordinated Fire does not. Keep in mind the cost of these abilities goes up by one for each Wounded and Injured token on the character. -
Coordinated Fire Triggering Twice?
Negoldar replied to dskylark's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
It can trigger off either attack. However, keep in mind that if the 501st is attacking, they can’t trigger their Coordinated Fire because it requires “another allied Galactic Republic Unit” to be attacking to trigger. Additionally, each Reactive ability can be used only once each turn so if the 212th are attacking, the 501st could Coordinated Fire one of their attacks, not both. -
The original target is the character the attack is resolving against. Dark Miasma cannot trigger against it or another character already attacked by Incantation of Obliteration this Round.

Negoldar replied to Blipvert's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
When Advancing, characters do not move along the movement tool. Once the tool is positioned, pick up the character and put it down in contact with the tool. -
Another Usurp the Throne question
Negoldar replied to ba_tetsuo's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
No. When playing the card one character is determined to the character with the highest Threat Value. The effects of the card apply to that character. -

My apologies. The question above is referring to the Knowledge and Defense ability on General Obi-wan Kenobi. It allows Hunker tokens may be discarded to generate an effect.

Magnaguards and Cover
Negoldar replied to arturinho's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
They provide Cover(1). The four bullet points in the core rulebook describe the prerequisites to gain Cover from terrain. Other abilities, like this one, can grant Cover without requiring any of those bullet points being satisfied.- 1 reply
