  1. Both of those effects share the same timing so they can resolve in the order of the attacking player’s choice. If the Push happens first, this can cause the Ricochet to reach a character it couldn’t before the Push.
  2. Characters do not have Activation Phases. The Activation Phase is part of the round. This card is played at the start of this phase—before any player takes their turn.
  3. The Active ability triggered by a Combat Tree option cannot be used unless it is the attacking character’s activation. Your scenario cannot happen.
  4. They would need to Climb to do that. That requires the Dash Tool.
  5. Asgardian grants additional Power when the character gains Power. These abilities are separate effects so they are a different instance of Power gain.
  6. No. The Snip-et on page 11 clarifies this. Abilities that can be used “at any time” cannot be used while another ability or effect is resolving. In the scenario you describe, Barriss’s Reposition from her defensive expertise chart will resolve in step 10B of the attack timing chart. If Kalani gets 3 successes to trigger the Active ability, that will resolve during step 10C as per the rules on page 32.
  7. General Power gain is in step 1 of the Power Phase. These superpowers are step 2 so it will be a total of 2 Power.
  8. All rules for attacks must be followed when making one of these attacks such as range and LOS. If the rule does not specify a type of attack, either may be used provided the character has that type of attack available to them.
  9. If there are any cards in the Order Deck, no. When a card is placed in Reserve, players immediately reveal the next card in the Order Deck. You would not be able to look at the card and decide to activate the newly Reserved character instead.
  10. Step 10 is when the Unit is removed. Defeated Units count for scoring on that turn.
  11. Yes. In step 7 of the attack timing the attacker removes one Strike for each Block in the defense roll. When the attack timing gets to step 10D, if there are no Strikes in the attack, Count Dooku, Separatist Leader’s Twice the Pride, Double the Fall can be used.
  12. It is correct. Knowledge and Defense triggers after an attack is resolved. This is during step 10 of the attack timing. Combat A.I. Protocols triggers after a combat action is made by an allied Battle Droid Unit. This is after the “after the attack is resolved” timing.
  13. These abilities do not share the same triggering event. Per the errata, Surely You Can Do Better's trigger event is the model defending and Twice the Pride, Double the Fall's trigger is an attack, with the conditions that it was a melee attack against an allied character within range 2.
  14. An effect that triggers “before damage is dealt” does not require the target character to suffer damage to resolve.
  15. No. That phrase references the timing step that shares the same name, step 11 of the attack timing in Appendix A.
  16. Yes. It has to be Toward the defending character. Toward and Away are explained on page 28 of the core rulebook.
  17. Push and Pull require the moving character to move the full distance if possible.
