  1. Baze Malbus gains all tokens as a single effect (not one at a time). As a result, Jyn Erso will only trigger a single time and thus only be able to change one of the focus tokens to an evade
  2. The Modified TIE/ln Fighter (Mining Ties) only ignore asteroids while they are moving. As a result they are no longer ignoring obstacles while engaging and thus are not able to shoot while on an asteroid. Qi'ra (Crew) on the other hand includes that you also ignore obstacles you are locking while performing attacks. So yes If Qi'ra (Crew) is on an overlapping an obstacle that the ship she is on is locking that ship would still be able to attack. The FAQ (V1.43.1) has a good description of what "Ignores Obstacles".
  3. Under the "Friendly" entry in the RRG (p13 of v1.4.31) it says "A ship is friendly to itself and can affect itself with any of its abilities that affect friendly ships, unless those abilities explicitly refer to “other” friendly ships". This means that abilities that use the phrase "a friendly ship at range 0-x" are able to target themselves, allowing both Jonus and Valen to use their abilities on themselves.
  4. False Tradition forces you to treat a focus action as red. However, the focus action granted after exclusively overlapping enemy ships is already treated as red, so this means that False Tradition would have no further effect on the difficulty of this action. As a result only a single stress would be taken for it being a red action.
  5. No, Fenn Rau (Sheathipede Pilot) does not prevent force from being spent. This is because you spend Force charges not force tokens. Force charges like shields charges and standard charges are double sided components used to track various resources, (Page 8 of the RRG v1.4.31). Tokens are explicitly defined as such in the RRG. EG Calculate Token, Evade Token, Ion Token, etc This also means that Fenn Rau cannot prevent Jess from spending charges either as they are not tokens.
  6. When you activate Satine Kryze (Crew), each ship resolves the ability independently. A decision is made for each ship whether to 1) Gain 1 deplete token and 1 focus token, 2) Gain 1 disarm token and 1 evade token or 3) Do not gain any tokens.
  7. No. The Star Wars Dice App is not tournament legal.
  8. Rose Tico (Crew)'s ability occurs during the relevant dice modification step (Eg Modify Attack Dice if attacking and Modify Defense Dice if defending). As a result, yes you can add a blank result with Finn (assuming the requirements for his ability are satisfied), spend that blank result with Rose for a lock on the enemy ship and then spend that lock to reroll the remaining dice (assuming they are eligible to be rerolled).
  9. Yes, if a ship becomes ionized before it's activation, the ship will execute an Ion Maneuver in the same direction shown on the dial set. (Page 13 of the RRG v1.4.31)
  10. No, activating R5-X3 does not prevent the use of the trick shot effect. As per the Objects FAQ section in the RRG (page 33 of v 1.4.31) "An attack is obstructed by an obstacle even while the effects of the obstacle are ignored. This applies to cards such as .... <Trick Shot>". As a result, if you activate R5-X3 and shoot trough an obstacle with Trick shot, the attacker gets to roll 1 additional attack die as the attack is still obstructed but the defender does not get an additional defense die, as the effect of being obstructed is ignored.
  11. By default the commando's can only be dropped with a 1 straight from the ships rear guides. The following text on the card "You can place that device using the front or rear guides" refers to the front and rear guides of the commando token not the ships front or rear guides. Abilities that allow for something to be placed using a ships front templates use the key word "Launch" not drop. But following on from there Drop-Seat Bay expand the options available. It allows the player to use the 1-bank template instead of a one straight (thus allowing the 1 bank use with the rear guides) as well as allowing the player to align that one 1 bank template to the left/right hash marks if they wish. The alignment to the left/right hash marks is dependant on the player choosing to use the 1 bank template instead of the 1 straight. So to sum up the options when you combine the various Commando upgrades with Drop-Seat Bay it allows you to use the following combinations. Rear Guide - 1 Straight or 1 Bank Left/Right Hash marks - 1 Bank only
  12. As per the Golden Rules in the RRG, "If a card ability uses the word "cannot", that effect is absolute and cannot be overridden by other effects", meaning the cards "Cannot be recovered" rules override the RRG entry relating what happens if the device would be placed partially/entirely out of the play area. So in these circumstances, the play would be reverse to before the device was placed but the charges spent would not be recovered because of the card text preventing this EG if you launched a buzz droid swarm and a portion of it would be outside the play area, you would recover the calculate token that was spent to launch the device but not the charge that was spent.
  13. The TIE/sk Striker's and TIE Reaper's are unable to use their Aileron ship abilities while Ionised. The RRG (v1.4.31) says "Ships cannot use abilities that trigger from an ionized ship revealing its dial", this includes "Before you reveal your dial" as the trigger for that to enter the ability queue is "revealing its dial".
  14. Revealing a manoeuvre is functionally the same a revealing a dial. So no, Anakin N-1 is unable to use their pilot ability to barrel roll while Ionised.
  15. No, Pinpoint Tractor Array does not allow a ship to be tractored onto an obstacle. This FAQ entry is incorrect and is not intended to be an exception. It will be updated in a future RRG release to align with the new tractor rules
  16. Yes, In the FAQ section of the RRG (On page 34 of v1.4.3.1) it clarifies that the player rerolls as many eligible dice as possible. So if they only rolled one defense dice then saturation salvo can still be used to force a reroll of that die.
  17. No, Kanan (HWK-290) is only able to use his ability once per opportunity regardless of his total force count.
  18. There appears to be a few clarifications being requested here. I hope these clarify any outstanding questions Q1) Does the "a ship can spend any number of <force> during the <attack/defense> dice step" clause mean that all force being spent for the standard force modification effect are spent simultaneously? A1) No, This clause is there to allow more than one die to be modified via the standard force modification per dice modification step. It does not mean that these modifications must occur simultaneously as only one die is modified per force being spent. Q2) If multiple dice are being modded for the standard force effect does Yoda trigger from each opportunity? A2) Yes, Because each die is modified individually, Yoda would trigger after each spend. Q3) What if the spend is for an ability which requires multiple force to be spent, such as Infiltrator Maul (Yes Mail is not a republic ship so won’t interact with Yoda but it is just an example of a multiple spend scenario)? A3) In situations where multiple force must be spent for a single ability, such as Infiltrator Maul, this represents only a single opportunity. As a result only one force would be recovered
  19. No, Count Dooku (crew) cannot be used during a primary attack at range zero because, while the defending player is selecting which specific die result to change, the modification is caused by the attacker modifying the defense dice.
  20. No, Delta-7/Y-wing Anakin does not need to be stressed for their ability to enter the queue. In this case the "requirement" that the ship must meet is "if there is an enemy ship in your <front arc> at range 0-1 or in your <bullseye>", so as long as that requirement is met you can add their ability to the queue. So yes, after Anakin (equipped with C1-10P) fully executes a maneuver, assuming Anakin for this example is unstressed, the player could add C1-10P to the queue and then Anakin's ability to the queue. C1-10P would be the first ability to resolve allowing Anakin to perform a red evade action and after that Anakin's ability would resolve allowing him to spend a force to then remove the stress gained from the C1-10P ability.
  21. Yes, Swarm Tactics can cascade across multiple ships. Swarm tactic's allows the target ship to treat it's initiative as equal to the current initiative of the ship with Swarm Tactics until the end of the round.
  22. Targeting Synchronizer allows the friendly ship to ignore the "Target lock attack" requirement for attacking with special weapons. It does not allow the friendly ship to ignore other ability lock based requirements such as those that require an attacker to have a lock on the defender (such as X1 of defender elite).
  23. Yes, in this scenario, when you activate Satine (crew) by spending the charges, you could have another friendly small ship in hounds arc resolve the ability and gain 1 focus and 1 deplete token before Hound. Hound's ability would trigger at that point, allowing Hound to transfer the deplete to themselves. You could then have Hound resolve Satine's ability for 1 focus token and another deplete token. Resulting in the Hound having two deplete tokens after Satine's ability finishes resolving.
  24. In this scenario where Ship Z was overlapping an obstacle and moves off that obstacle, then no ship Z would not suffer the effects of moving through the asteroid that turn, as it was already overlapping the obstacle before it moved and did not overlap it again.
  25. Yes, Baze Malbus (Crew) will trigger while resolving the red focus action granted by overlapping only enemy ships. Baze's ability can trigger on any focus action as long as it is being treated as red (this includes if it was a red focus action initially).
