Measuring using new movement tools
Thoras replied to sumo55's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
"The end" is defined in the FAQ and explains that this requires the rounded end of a movement tool. -
Either may play the card, but not both at the same time.

Savage vs Anakin timing
Thoras replied to Charlesanakin's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
Yes, they have to be used at the time the event they are triggering from occurs. This does not always line up with the "resolution" of the event though. Coordinated Fire for instance triggers as a result of an attack from a combat action, but is used before step 10(which is the resolution of the attack). You need to watch for the timing of an abilities trigger and the timing that it says its used at. -
Ahsoka Tano Fierce Protector
Thoras replied to SirSmashALot's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
The use of Tactical Network from the Active Ability effect in his combat tree would occur in step 10c of his attack. Fierce Protector occurs in step 10d of the attack that triggers it. You would resolve Fierce Protector against the Battle Droids attack first and then against the attack from Kalani It effectively looks like this if we mapped out the steps Kalani's attack 1 2 3 . . . 10c - Battle Droids attack 1 2 3 . . . 10d - Fierce Protector against the Battle Droid 10c (We return to Kalani's attack at the point we left it) 10d - Fierce Protector against Kalani -

This effect applies to that attack, so if its ended early, they are lost The attack still occurred, it was just ended early by Mind Trick. An effect applying to the next attack is lost. The attack is ended before you reach the step that Coordinated Fire occurs at. This effect applies to the next attack roll, so will still benefit a characters next attack even after a Mind Trick. These can still be used because they trigger off the combat action, not the attack itself.

Savage vs Anakin timing
Thoras replied to Charlesanakin's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
No. Force Jump is an Active ability and Anakin has no way to use it during the resolution of another effect (the attack). I'm going to end this likewise is a reactive ability and has to be used at the time its trigger condition is met, which is directly after the combat action. Yes. The Strain would be applied in Step 8 of the attack and Savage's expertise Jump result occurs in 10b The Pinned would again be applied in Step 8 and the defensive Jump in 10b Anakin's Jump would also be applied in Step 8 if he chose that option instead. -

Hunker Token and Steadfast
Thoras replied to jediplaya's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
This appears to be where the confusion likely is. Hunker tokens are not removed after dice rolls are made. Hunker tokens are removed if a Unit becomes engaged or if the Unit starts its activation. -
Reaction abilities of Aurra and Cad Bane
Thoras replied to abalufaske's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
"Double the Contract, Double the Payout" and "Hit and Run" both occur in 10c of an attack and specifically require that attack to be occurring from a Combat Action "No one gets between me and my job" occurs after Step 10e of an attack that is part of a combat action. Aurra's abilities and Cad Bane's ability react to different events and could be used together, yes. -
The Unit using the Coordinated Fire ability needs to be within Range of the character being attacked. It doesn't sound like that is the case in your scenario.

Cumulative Keywords
Thoras replied to Inside the DANGER room's topic in Star Wars: Shatterpoint Rules Questions
By default, the effect or special rule needs to be accompanied by a number in brackets to be counted as a stacking effect. Steadfast and Protection are not stacking effects. Can you expand on what the question is about? -
Only the character whose activation it is gets additional dice for Jabari Chieftain. Yes, it can gain the additional dice on an attack it makes as a result of Wakanda Forever. Other characters making an attack as a result of Wakanda forever will not gain additional dice for Jabari Chieftain though.

Galaxy's Greatest Big Dumb HeroToken
Thoras replied to Crazykitsune's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
That token is effectively gone The difference between a Chimichanga token and the Big Dumb Hero token or Brother Daniel is that the Chimichanga is specifically an objective token. -
Yes. This is what is being referenced in the first answer to the quoted post.
