  1. If multiple points are at equal distance from the attacker (for example, if the attacker and defender are parallel), the attacker chooses one of those lines for measuring range from or to another point in order to avoid measuring through an object. The defending player would only resolve Treacherous if that line is appropriately obstructed.
  2. Despite the added caveat of a special attack with the lock requirement for Weapons Systems Officer, both Weapons Systems Officer (Gunner) and Synchronized Console (Modification) trigger "After you perform an attack" and can be added to the ability queue in the order of the controlling players choice allowing that player to acquire a lock on the defender via Weapons Systems Officer and then trigger Synchronized Console.
  3. Buzz Droid Swarms: After an enemy ship overlaps or moves through a buzz droid swarm, the swarm’s controlling player relocates it by aligning the tab to that ship’s front or rear guides When launched, the Buzz Droid Swarm would not attach itself to an enemy ship unless the final position overlapped, but if an enemy ship's template were to move through the Buzz Droid Swarm during it's activation then the Buzz Droid Swarm would relocate using the normal rules.
  4. In the absence of an available judge the player could mask off the name and description of the damage card using other cards, showing only the Ship specification
  5. No. Underslung Blaster (Cannon) specifies that an attack made using the upgrade card can only be modified by spending a lock to reroll your attack dice.
  6. Yes, when the Seismic Charge detonates, the owner chooses 1 obstacle at range 0–1. Each ship and remote at range 0–1 of the obstacle suffers 1 damage. Then you would normally remove that obstacle. However, when a fused obstacle would be removed, one fuse marker is removed from that obstacle instead, and that obstacle is not removed.
  7. No, unless a ship has any abilities that trigger "After you are destroyed", after a ship is destroyed in a phase other than the Engagement Phase, it is removed from the game.
  8. No, if a ship is destroyed during the Engagement Phase, it is removed after all ships that have the same initiative as the currently engaged ship have engaged. Before the carrier is removed from the play area, any docked ships can emergency deploy from their carrier. So while the carrier ship would be able to engage via simultaneous fire, emergency deployment happens before removing the ship, and at that point the initiative 4 opportunity to engage is over.
  9. No, Major Rhymer's (TIE/sa Bomber) pilot ability affects the range restrictions of the torpedo or missile itself. The range to the second target for the bonus attack provided by Cluster Missiles is not affected by this.
  10. No. Both the damage and ion tokens are part of the Connor Net effect. You have to resolve all the effect before going to the next in the ability queue (Lieutenant Tavson (Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle) triggers and goes in front of the queue).
  11. No, after a ship is destroyed in a phase other than the Engagement Phase, it is removed from the game.
  12. Yes, after a mine is dropped, there is an opportunity to add a delayed fuse to it before any ship overlapping the device would cause it to detonate.
  13. No. While suffering damage does cause a ship to lose shields (if applicable), if an effect causes a ship to lose one or more shields directly, it has not suffered damage.
  14. When an ability that "may choose a ship" is reached in the ability queue, before paying costs, the ship's player may measure range to any number of ships. Then, that player may choose a ship from among the valid options as defined by the ability, or choose no ship. If they choose no ship, the costs for the ability are not paid, and the ability is removed from the queue without resolving.
  15. A reminder (from the pinned Forum Rules post) Make sure to only ask ONE rules question per thread. Create a new thread for each question.
  16. Marksmanship happens in step 2b of the attack (Modify Attack Dice). Heavy Laser Cannon happens after the Modify Attack Dice step.
  17. No. If a card ability uses the word “cannot,” that effect is absolute and cannot be overridden by other effects.
  18. Upgrade cards or abilities can instruct a ship to perform an action not listed on their action bar, but do not add that action to their action bar.
  19. From the Rules Reference Guide: Q: When a ship is instructed to gain two or more tokens from a single effect (such as Admiral Sloane), does this resolve as a single instance of gaining two or more tokens or as two or more separate instances of gaining one token? A: It resolves as a single instance of gaining two or more tokens. Thus, if a ship is instructed to gain two or more tokens from a single effect like Admiral Sloane, this only triggers abilities that occur “after you gain a token” once.
  20. An ionized ship cannot perform any action except the Focus action.
  21. Tournament organizers have the final say on legality of components used at an event. If you encounter a component that you feel is improper or gives an opponent undue advantage, you should call for a judge and event staff will make a determination.
  22. No, if there are eligible ships within range when choosing to use Hondo Ohnaka (Crew) you cannot choose to fail the action.
