  1. Hi! Sorry for the delay on this one, we wanted to make sure we were getting the Epic questions right. No, the Wing Leader could activate as normal, double reposition, gain the stress and then the Wingmates would form up using the wing tool as normal. They would still be allowed to perform an action from the limited set of Wingmate actions provided they haven't overlapped an object while forming up.
  2. Hi - Sorry for the delay on this, it's been a bit manic and we wanted to make sure we got the Epic play solutions right. 🙂 Yes, Han Solo (Rebel, Gunner) would allow a huge ship to engage at initiative 7, and as the Turbolaser Battery (Hardpoint) upgrade adds a turret arc, Han Solo could use that weapon for the bonus attack. If you did, you would not be able to attack from that turret arc again for that round.
  3. No, Fearless requires you to perform a front arc primary attack, the attack range to be 1 and to be in the defender's front arc. Performing a rear arc primary attack would not satisfy these requirements.
  4. No, the charge on Elusive (Talent) is recovered after you fully execute a red maneuver. Performing a Boost or Barrel Roll does not count as executing a maneuver but does count as a move.
  5. Additional clarifications of some specific cards Question: What color is the Boost action that BB-8's (Resistance Transport Pod) pilot ability permits during the System Phase? Answer: BB-8's System Phase Barrel Roll and Boost are both red. Question: What color is the Barrel Roll and SLAM action on Overdrive Thruster (Modification) Answer: Overdrive Thruster refers to a red Boost, red Barrel Roll, and red SLAM. Question: Does Maneuver-Assist MGK-300 (Configuration) reduce the difficulty of all the bank maneuvers? Answer: Maneuver-Assist MGK-300 applies only to the 3 banks, not 1 or 2.
  6. No, while Thermal Detonators allows you to drop up to 2 devices in the System Phase, Vagabond's Pilot Ability specifically says "... you may drop 1 device"
  7. No, guides on a ship’s base are ignored only while measuring range or determining whether a ship is in an arc. Each ship's base has two pairs of guides, one pair on the front and one pair on the back. Some devices also have a pair of guides. You can find this information in the Rules Reference Guide under the Guides entry.
  8. Hi, as per the Tournament Regulations, players may mark dice with a permanent or indelible marker to indicate ownership in an unobtrusive manner but cannot otherwise alter them in any way.
  9. Yes, you may use either the 1 straight or 2 straight template when only dropping 1 Thermal Detonator.
  10. Hi! Yes, as Count Dooku's (crew) ability takes effect after the dice are rolled and before the Modify Dice step during an attack, or before other dice modification effects are applied for dice rolled at any other time, Count Dooku would change one of the Focus results to a blank result first, with Jango Fett's (Firespray-class Patrol Craft) Pilot Ability allowing you to change a second die in the Modify Dice step.
  11. Yes, Darth Vader's (Tie Defender) Pilot Ability limits him to spending a force only while attacking. As using Sense to choose 1 ship at range 0-1 and look at its dial does not require you to spend any Force charges it is not affected by that restriction.
  12. Yes, while a ship can only place a device once during the System Phase, it can drop an additional bomb as instructed by its pilot (or upgrade) ability. Note however that some cards that can place devices at times other than the System Phase (such as Edon Kappehl (MG-100 Starfortress) and “Genius” (Astromech)) contain the text “If you have not dropped or launched a bomb this round,” which would prevent them from placing a subsequent device if they had placed one in the System Phase.
  13. No, there is no cost associated with R2-D2 (crew); this is an optional ability you may use to recover a shield that has a potential consequence. With regards to exposing a Direct Hit, as you would have already recovered a shield, the Direct Hit would then remove it.
  14. Both False Transponder Codes (Illicit) and R3 Astromech trigger after the lock is acquired on the ship with the False Transponder Codes upgrade and would enter the Ability Queue in Player Order
  15. If a ship is instructed to perform an action, the action is white unless stated otherwise. In this instance, as there is no difficulty indicated before the boost icon, it would be a white boost. Compare this to the Tie Interceptors Autothrusters Ship Ability: After you perform an action, you may perform a red barrel roll or red boost action. After an internal review, we are updating our position on this. BB-8's System Phase Barrel Roll and Boost are both red. See our clarification post here:
  16. Hi, A coordinating ship is a ship that is attempting to coordinate by performing the following steps: Measure range from the coordinating ship to any friendly ships. Choose another friendly ship at range 1–2. The chosen ship may perform one action. Once the chosen ship has performed the action, the coordinate is considered to be completed.
  17. No, while AP-5 could coordinate a ship with 1 stress token, allowing it to perform an action, any "while coordinating" abilities stop after the first action has been taken and do not apply to any linked actions.
  18. Reinforce has to wait until all results have been cancelled to see if the attack would hit and if there is more than one hit or critical result remaining before adding one evade result. Treacherous is resolved before this.
  19. Hi, The Ability Queue is used when resolving abilities that trigger during the same timing window. Abilities are resolved from the front of the queue to the back of the queue. As both Torkil Mux's Pilot Ability and Heightened Perception trigger "At the start of the Engagement Phase", they would be added to the Ability Queue in player order with the 1st player's ability going in first, followed by the ability controlled by the 2nd player.
  20. Yes, if a ship is instructed to perform an action, the action is white unless stated otherwise.
  21. There's a few things happening here, I'll do my best to keep this clear. Yes, so long as Kullbee Sperado boosted or barrel rolled THROUGH the obstacle, and is not at range 0 of it once the move is complete he gains 1 evade token. Because he performed a boost or barrel roll action, his pilot ability would trigger, allowing him to flip an equipped configuration upgrade card. He would then suffer the effects of overlapping the obstacle. In this example, he would finish with one evade token, one focus token and 2 stress tokens (one from the red boost action and one from overlapping the debris cloud). Note that Contraband Cybernetics is not required to achieve this, as the evade is "gained". If he were to begin the round already stressed, he could trigger Contraband Cybernetics and perform the same set of maneuvers and finish with a total of 3 stress tokens. And finally, the effects he would suffer would depend on which obstacle Kullbee moves through, but there is no reason he could not do this through any of the available standard obstacles.
  22. Hi, The critical result added to the attack by Fifth Brother's Pilot Ability is added after the Neutralize Results step (step 4) but before the Deal Damage step (step 5). All the remaining damage that would be dealt (including the critical damage added by Fifth Brother's Pilot Ability), would then follow the instructions on the associated cards. For Ion Missiles it would be replaced with ion tokens.
  23. No, Each player calculates their score by adding together the total squad point value of their opponent’s destroyed ships, including upgrade cards equipped to those ships. You would only calculate half points on ships that have not been destroyed and whose health (combined total hull and shields, including any modifications to hull or shields via cards such as Hull Upgrade or Shield Upgrade) has been reduced to half or below.
  24. No, you only apply the boost or barrel roll effect from being tractored the first time a ship becomes tractored each round. If a tractored ship does not remove its tractor token(s) during the End Phase, it remains tractored the next round and continues to roll one fewer defense die. However, it cannot become tractored again until after it removes its tractor token(s).
  25. No, Adaptive Ailerons happens "before you reveal your dial", and since an ionized ship does not have a dial assigned to it and skips the Reveal Dial step, it cannot resolve the maneuver.
