Eligible targets in Fire Support
Seth replied to JokerAlpha's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The total wounds the enemy unit may suffer is based on the combined wounds threshold of minis in LOS of the attacking unit, and is not affected by a Fire Support unit. If Clone Unit A can only see one enemy mini, only one enemy mini's worth of wounds can be suffered in that attack. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, This one. As stated under Impervious: the defending unit will roll additional defense dice equal to the total Pierce X value of weapons in the attack pool. The attacker may cancel up to X successes with Pierce X. They do not need to declare prior to the Modify Defense Dice step their intent to use none, some, or all of their Pierce. The defender will roll additional dice equal to the Pierce X value of weapons in the attack pool. It does not matter how “much” Pierce the attacker ultimately applies. Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, Yes. As stated in the Beam X keyword entry, units may not use the Beam X and Gunslinger keywords during the same attack. When this attack reaches the Declare Additional Defenders step, they may use either keyword to declare one or more additional defenders, but not both. No. This would be using both of the keywords during the same attack sequence. A friendly unit may use Fire Support to add eligible weapons' attack dice to the second target declared with the Gunslinger keyword. The unit with Gunslinger may declare and create an additional attack pool consisting of one weapon used prior. This does not prevent a unit with Fire Support from adding additional weapons. No; Clone Commander Rex may not form an attack pool with a weapon he does not have (on his unit card or gained otherwise). Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, For a unit's weapons to gain the keywords specified on Arboreal Assault the round it is played, they must have a face-up order token. If this face-up order token is removed, such as by one of the specified game effects, they will no longer gain Immobilize 1 and Suppressive. Hope this helps, Seth

Clone Trooper and Beam
Seth replied to Floorf The Dwarf's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Yes. While attacking, a clone trooper unit may spend one token belonging to a friendly clone trooper unit at range 1 and in LOS. As the Beam X keyword allows the applicable unit to declare additional attacks during the Declare Additional Defenders step - each attack pool resolved as its own attack - the Clone Commander in your example may indeed spend a shared token during each. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Divine Influence, Esteemed Leader, and Guardian.
Seth replied to CahoonM's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, No. Ewok units within range 1 of C-3PO gain Guardian 2 as specified by the Divine Influence keyword. A unit with Guardian may not be targeted by Guardian. Yes. "While using Guardian, they (Ewok units within range 1 of C-3PO) may cancel [Critical] results as if they were [Hit] results." This is not specific to C-3PO and will affect other instances of Guardian used by these Ewok units, such as that granted by Esteemed Leader. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

You Have Something I Want - two dark troopers units
Seth replied to Boroxxx's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, As stated on the You Have Something I Want command card, you may choose a (single) friendly Imperial Dark Trooper unit to remove from the battlefield. Ordering additional Imperial Dark Troopers using the command card, Entourage, or otherwise will not allow you to remove additional units. This is your option #2. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Tall miniatures and fitting under terrain
Seth replied to MKoscielak's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, A mini may not be placed somewhere it does not fit. The silhouette is used for checking LOS; it is not a substitute for the miniature when navigating the table and terrain. Hope this helps, Seth -
Cumbersome Fire Support in the same Activation
Seth replied to RC-D2's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, No. A Cumbersome weapon may not be used to attack if the mini with it performed a move prior. As such, it is not an eligible weapon for contribution to the attack pool when the Phase I Clone Trooper unit uses the Fire Support keyword as in your example. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Rebel personnel upgrades on ewoks
Seth replied to kevinclow's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Ewok Skirmishers and Ewok Slingers are Ewoks-affiliated mercenaries. They may be included in Rebel army as noted by the icon on their unit card. They are not Rebel units, as detailed in Appendix C of the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook, and so cannot be equipped with “Rebel only” upgrade cards. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

A Beautiful Friendship / Log Trap interaction
Seth replied to shanturin's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, No. No orders have been issued by any Rebel faction or Ewok affiliation units. There are many game effects - keywords, upgrades, and so on - that may allow a unit to issue itself or another unit an order. “Nominating a commander” when playing a command card, while typically done with the intent of issuing orders, is not the same concept and you are not automatically considered to have issued orders upon being nominated. As the Log Traps command card issues orders to “No Units,” the nominated commander that turn will issue no orders using that card, and trigger none of the effects of A Beautiful Friendship. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Insatiable curiosity activation timing
Seth replied to tsoullrayan's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions

Selecting a Command Card that cannot issue an order
Seth replied to dustandechos's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, If a player cannot issue orders to all units printed, they will issue as many as possible. This does not change the text of the card; and players are not forced to replace it with Standing Orders if they do not have the appropriate units available to order. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Timing of using Pierce vs. Guardian
Seth replied to Strudl's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The Guardian keyword is resolved in its entirety during the Modify Attack Dice step. The Guardian unit’s defence dice will be rolled, and Pierce may be applied, before any further steps in the attack process are made, and before the defending unit rolls its defence dice. Hope this helps, Seth -

Hello! The Nimble keyword to gain a dodge token after spending one or more during an attack. As the Teamwork keyword triggers any time one of the affected units gains a token, it will indeed allow trigger off of a dodge token gained as a result of Nimble. In your example, yes, when Jyn Erso gains a dodge token from her Nimble keyword, Ahsoka Tano will also gain one as a result of Teamwork. Hope this helps, Seth

Cad bane and comms relay query
Seth replied to maverick4538's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Yes. The effects of the I'm Your Worst Nightmare command card are not contingent on Cad Bane having a faceup order token or having been issued an order using the card. The Independent keyword checks whether or not the unit has an order token at the beginning of the Activation Phase. If Cad Bane does not have an order token at the start of the Activation Phase, he will gain the tokens specified by his Independent keyword. Yes, Cad Bane may issue an order to Stormtroopers. Note that he may does this whether or not he has the Allies of Convenience keyword, as Stormtroopers are not a mercenary unit and so do not have the restriction that they may only be issued an order by units of the matching affiliation. Hope this helps, Seth -
Hello, An A-A5 Speeder Truck with two or more ion tokens will still perform its compulsory move granted by the Reckless Driver upgrade card at the start of its activation. It will then lose its two actions due to the ion tokens and end its activation. Hope this helps, Seth

Sabotaged Communications and Synchronized Offensive
Seth replied to TheWaysian's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The Sabotaged Communications command card will block the additional orders given as a result of the Synchronized Offensive command card text (and, for that matter, the Mechanized Incursion command card's nearly identical effect). The bonus orders are not issued from a particular unit (such as those given by way of Coordinate), and so are considered granted by the command card. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, As you identified, there is no "may" used in the Nominate Commanders and Issue Orders step. A player will issue all orders on their card as they are able. You may not choose to issue no orders, unless of course your command card provides such an effect in its text, such as on the Aggression and Discretion command cards. Hope this helps, Seth
