Hello, A unit can be affected by both the Ruthless keyword and the effects of the New Ways to Motivate Them command card to perform a total of two additional actions during their activation. Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, The Preservation Protocols command card grants it effects "When Super Tactical Droid issues an order...". As it does not specify "...issued an order using this card," other sources of orders from the Super Tactical Droid will apply, including Direct. Yes, if the Super Tactical Droid uses the Comms Relay upgrade card to issue an order to another unit, it is issuing an order to the chosen unit, and that unit will gain the effects as specified on the Preservation Protocols command card, assuming the unit meets the command card's printed requirements (e.g. the unit is a droid trooper or has the AI keyword). Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, The only hidden information in Star Wars: Legion is the content of a player's command hand. You may keep record of public information if it is helpful. The ultimate reference for any rules language should be the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook. If playing in a Galactic Conquest event, the Event Organizer or a Consular may choose to allow or disallow player-made game aids, as they are not among the list of game pieces required for play and expected to be brought by players. Hope this helps, Seth

Brains and Brawn and Incognito
Seth replied to JhayRhod's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, That is correct. As Chewbacca is not performing an attack, he will remain under the effects of the Incognito keyword after adding his weapon dice to Leia Organa’s attack with the Brains and Brawn command card. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, As an expended upgrade card is not discarded or otherwise removed from play, a unit will indeed still be considered equipped with a comms upgrade after such an upgrade card is expended. Hope this helps, Seth

Tempest Battle Force; Suppression Removal
Seth replied to Dicewrench's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, As written in the the Tempest Force Battle Force download, a unit that is NOT within the specified range of a commander unit AND NOT equipped with a Comms upgrade will remove one fewer suppression tokens during the End Phase. This would be closest to your option B. Correct. A unit so nominated by the Field Commander keyword is not a commander-type unit. Hope this helps, Seth -
“Drive Them Out” command card: how many stomps?
Seth replied to Robert McCowen's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, “The first time a (singular) friendly vehicle displaces an enemy unit during its activation,” it may roll white defense dice to cause wounds to a displaced unit as specified by the Drive Them Out command card. This may only occur once during that round. If multiple friendly vehicles have faceup order tokens, only the first to displace an enemy unit will resolve the other effects of the command card. Hope this helps, Seth -
Hello, Correct. The Tempest Force battle force may use the Field Commander keyword. Hope this helps, Seth

Chewbacca ATST with Brains & Brawn
Seth replied to SpikedApples's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello! Yes. As per the “Building a Command Hand” section of the core rulebook, if a command card requires certain units, these units must be in a player’s army to be included in a command hand. Chewbacca’s command cards therefore require a Chewbacca unit present in your army, but need not be the Walking Carpet operative version of this character. No. The Fixed: Front keyword states “To add a weapon that has the Fixed: Front (…) keyword to an attack pool, the defending unit must have at least one of its miniature’s bases partially inside the firing arc or the attacking miniature.” The Brains and Brawn command card adds one of Chewbacca’s weapons to Leia Organa’a attack pool. The stipulations for adding a weapon with the Fixed: Front keyword must still be followed. Yes. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Order to resolve multiple Standbys
Seth replied to Moffka's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello! Yes. A standby token may be spent following a move, attack, or action made by an enemy unit (at the eligible range and LOS). This includes a free attack action made as part of an opposing unit spending its standby token. Boba Fett may spend his standby token prior to the second enemy unit spending theirs. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, When playing the Imperial Remnant Battle Force, Scout Troopers and Imperial Death Troopers are considered Corps units for the purposes of Army Building. For all other purposes after Army Building, they return to their printed unit rank and use the appropriate order tokens. They will not be considered Corps units when resolving battle cards (such as the mentioned Hostage Exchange) nor for effects during the game such as the Vigilance upgrade card or various command cards. Hope this helps, Seth

Choosing to not perform actions
Seth replied to jcub3333's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions

Placing Displaced Unit Leaders Without Space
Seth replied to dwitters's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Dwit, A unit cannot be placed into base contact with an enemy unit when resolving displacement. The unit leader in question will be following all of the rules for displacement. If a unit must be placed "as close as possible," this will mean they are placed the required distance away to not be placed into base contact with an enemy miniature. Hope this helps, Seth -
AA5 and Making His Way in the Galaxy
Seth replied to Frank's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, As quoted, if the vehicle that is transporting that unit has performed more than one non-pivot move during the current round, disembarking uses all of its available actions, and it cannot perform additional actions or any free actions. As the attacks granted by Making His Way in the Galaxy are not specified to be attack actions, Boba may indeed perform them as normal after such a disembark move. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, As stated on the Rule with Respect command card, a unit may add one black die to one of its attack pools. If a unit forms more than one attack pool (during the Declare Additional Defenders step and by virtue of having multiple minis & weapons in its unit, or by using keywords including but not limited to Gunslinger, Beam, and Arsenal) it will add a black die to only one of these multiple attack pools. Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, The Guardian X keyword is not an enemy effect. A unit with Immune: Enemy Effects keyword can suffer wounds as a result of using its Guardian keyword. The unit containing Boil may indeed use its Guardian 1 keyword during round 1 while it has the Hostage upgrade card equipped. It will still suffer wounds as normal. Note that Pierce X is an enemy effect, and cannot be used to cancel Boil’s defense dice rolled using Guardian in this scenario. Poison X is also an enemy effect and no poison token would be applied if a wound is suffered by the unit using Guardian. Hope this helps, Seth

Loadout, which cards are matching?
Seth replied to ryfterek's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, This is the correct interpretation. When a unit with the Loadout keyword deploys, it may swap any of its upgrade cards out with their matching set-aside options, one for one. In your example, Offensive Push may only be exchanged with Duck and Cover, and Hunter may only be exchanged with Situational Awareness. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Engagement in the same melee after force push
Seth replied to CQD91's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Yes, a unit performing a speed-1 move as a result of the Force Push upgrade card free action can indeed be moved out of melee (because the card says so!) and may also end this move in base contact with the same or another enemy unit. Of note, a unit performing a withdraw cannot end the move in base contact with an enemy unit. However, the standard move provided by an ability such as the Force Push upgrade card is not a withdraw, and this rule would not apply. Hope this helps, Seth
