Immune: Enemy Effects and Displacement Effects
Seth replied to RulesLawyerLV's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Neither of these cards will cause wounds to a unit with Immune: Enemy Effects, as they are enemy card effects. Correct. Both of these cards only affect the first unit displaced. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Allocate Suppression to Defender
Seth replied to Farsighted Iden's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, If there are any Hit or Critical points in the attack pool during the Roll Attack Dice step, the defender will receive a suppression. This is indeed at any point during the Roll Attack Dice step, and not specifically after the Reroll Dice substep. This is correct. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Focused on the Kill while bountied
Seth replied to patkopp's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, While the Permanent effect of the Focused on the Kill command card does delay at what point IG-88 will be defeated, it does not change the source of those wounds. If a unit with the Bounty keyword causes IG-88 to suffer wounds equal to or exceeding his wound threshold, that unit will be marked with a victory token per the Bounty keyword effects when IG-88 is defeated at the start of the End Phase. Hope this helps, Seth -
Hello, Yes. Refer to the example given in the Spur keyword entry in the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook, which gives multiple such scenarios of a speed-1 unit (such as a Dewback Rider) afflicted with one or more immobilize tokens, for more detail. Hope this helps, Seth

Hello! Refer to the Base Contact entry in the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook; the relevant section of which is reproduced below: In your example, if the disembarking trooper unit can be placed such that its silhouette is touching the base of the LAAT/le Patrol Transport, it is considered to be in base contact and may be placed in such a way prior to performing its speed-1 disembark move. Hope this helps, Seth

Climbing off of a standby move
Seth replied to Darth_Jim's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Yes. When a standby token is spent, the unit may perform a free attack action or free move action. Note that when a unit performs a move action, it performs a standard move or climb. As the unit is provided a free move action, and not specifically a standard move, it may indeed be substituted with other types of moves, including a climb. Hope this helps, Seth -
Hello, Yes. The unit must sacrifice an additional action (beyond the embark move action) in order to embark upon a vehicle with the Transport X: Closed keyword. A Black Sun Enforcers unit may not make such an activation with their typical allotment of two actions during their activation, as they have no action to sacrifice when embarking. Hope this helps, Seth

A Beautiful Friendship and Commanding Presence
Seth replied to NoobMasterNate's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The bonus order effect of the A Beautiful Friendship command card is not issued by any particular commander; it only references a Rebel faction or Ewoks-affiliated commander for the purposes of determining range. This commander is not "issuing orders" and therefore the range of this effect will not be increased by it having the Commanding Presence upgrade card equipped. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Smoke Tokens and Low Profile
Seth replied to RulesLawyerLV's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, As stated in the Cover entry, when rules refer to cover having a numerical value, light cover has a value of 1 and heavy cover has a value of 2. If a unit's cover is not 0, it has cover. As a smoke token improves the numerical value of cover, a unit with no cover from terrain in the specified range of a smoke token will improve its cover value from 0 to 1. The defending unit now has cover, and assuming it is not canceled (for example, there are no instances of Sharpshooter or Blast in the attack, for instance), the Low Profile will indeed allow them to cancel an additional hit result. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Aid, Secret Ingredients, and Multiple Tokens
Seth replied to RulesLawyerLV's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Refer to this related post: ----------------------------------------------------------------- To adapt this answer to your particular scenario: Logray may use Aid more than once to give a token to a unit; if doing so, each instance may indeed be to a separate eligible friendly unit. Each instance of Aid will (or rather, would) result in 1 suppression token being assigned to Logray, which is then reduced with the Secret Ingredients upgrade card. Hope this helps, Seth -
Onward to Victory - Multiple Moves
Seth replied to RulesLawyerLV's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The effects of the Onward to Victory upgrade card persist for the entire round. One friendly Ewok trooper unit may perform a speed 1 move each time the criteria are met while the card is exhausted. Hope this helps, Seth -
Hello, Yes; you would refer to the Timing section for resolving simultaneous effects if there are other game effects that occur at the beginning of the Activation Phase. Yes. Yes, as the player with priority will resolve all of their "start of Activation Phase" effects before the other player resolves theirs. Yes, as your opponent will no longer have a unit with an Ewok Trapper with which to resolve the attack. Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, Yes. A unit under the effects of Incognito can not be used to satisfy the Victory conditions on an Objective Card, and will lose all effects of the Incognito keyword if it performs an objective card action, among other things. As the process of counting unit leaders near a Bomb Cart on the Payload objective card is neither of these things, a unit leader under the effects of Incognito will indeed contribute and doing so will not remove their incognito status. Hope this helps, Seth

Rex and Take That Clankers

Infiltrate with Scout and Revealing Cad Bane Tokens
Seth replied to SwissGood's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, A Bane Token is revealed when an enemy miniature moves, deploys, or is placed at range 1 of an enemy Bane token, if that miniature has LOS to the token. As a unit is placed onto the battlefield when it deploys, Jyn Erso will force the reveal of the Bane Token upon being deployed and before she performs her Scout 1 move. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, "If you do" (use the Emergency Stims upgrade card to prevent wounds during an attack), the unit in question will suffer the wounds on the card at the end of their activation. It does not matter if, come this time, the unit has since been readied. Yes, a unit may use a recover or recover action to ready the Emergency Stims command card. If it does, the wounds will remain on the upgrade card, and the unit will still suffer them at the end of their next activation. Yes, a readied Emergency Stims card with wound tokens on it that is not exhausted (because it has been recovered!) can be exhausted again to add two additional wound tokens. These may be suffered at the timing specified on the card: the end of the unit's next activation. Note that, when this time comes, the unit is not limited to only suffer those "particular" two wounds: it removes all wound tokens on the card and suffers the removed amount of wounds. Hope this helps, Seth

A New Beginning Tokens on Ahsoka
Seth replied to AdvocatusDeLibello's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Yes, Ahsoka Tano will qualify for the tokens granted by her A New Beginning command card, as she is issuing an order to a small-base trooper unit (herself!). Yes, with the Defend 1 keyword she will end up with more than one green token. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Reckless Driver displacing multiple units
Seth replied to Priv_IRA's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The A-A5 Speeder Truck will roll for the Reckless Driver upgrade card's effect the first time it displaces an enemy unit during its activation. If multiple units are displaced during a single move, the first one that is contacted by the A-A5 Speeder Truck as it moves along its movement template will be the affected unit. It will never affect more than one unit during its activation. As stated on the upgrade card, the Reckless Driver effects are resolved only the first time it displaces an enemy unit during its activation. Additional displacements on additional moves will not qualify. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Eligible targets in Fire Support
Seth replied to JokerAlpha's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The total wounds the enemy unit may suffer is based on the combined wounds threshold of minis in LOS of the attacking unit, and is not affected by a Fire Support unit. If Clone Unit A can only see one enemy mini, only one enemy mini's worth of wounds can be suffered in that attack. Hope this helps, Seth- 1 reply

Hello, This one. As stated under Impervious: the defending unit will roll additional defense dice equal to the total Pierce X value of weapons in the attack pool. The attacker may cancel up to X successes with Pierce X. They do not need to declare prior to the Modify Defense Dice step their intent to use none, some, or all of their Pierce. The defender will roll additional dice equal to the Pierce X value of weapons in the attack pool. It does not matter how “much” Pierce the attacker ultimately applies. Hope this helps, Seth

Hello, Yes. As stated in the Beam X keyword entry, units may not use the Beam X and Gunslinger keywords during the same attack. When this attack reaches the Declare Additional Defenders step, they may use either keyword to declare one or more additional defenders, but not both. No. This would be using both of the keywords during the same attack sequence. A friendly unit may use Fire Support to add eligible weapons' attack dice to the second target declared with the Gunslinger keyword. The unit with Gunslinger may declare and create an additional attack pool consisting of one weapon used prior. This does not prevent a unit with Fire Support from adding additional weapons. No; Clone Commander Rex may not form an attack pool with a weapon he does not have (on his unit card or gained otherwise). Hope this helps, Seth
