Versatile Strategy requires the new leadership be from the affiliation chosen during squad building. You cannot change from Midnight Sons to Brotherhood of Mutants.
-
Choosing an affiliation is not required when building a squad. My Hellfire Club can be played if no affiliation is chosen when building the squad.

throwing characters from on top of terrain
Negoldar replied to firbison's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
The moved character would end up at the last position it could fit in after determining it could not fit in a position where it would be contacting the character or terrain feature it collided with. This does mean it would remain on top of the terrain feature in the situation you have described.- 5 replies

It does. The additional dice from resolving Critical results are prevented by the rules of the Crisis Card.

Negoldar replied to Minitubster's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
Gems increase the Threat Value of a character so Mutant Hunters will distribute power based on the modified Threat Value. In your example, B is correct.- 1 reply

throwing characters from on top of terrain
Negoldar replied to firbison's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
The thrown character will collide with the character that is not on the terrain feature. If the final position would have the thrown character partially overlap either the character or the terrain feature, move the thrown character back along the movement tool to the last position it could occupy then resolve the effects of the collision.- 5 replies

Does SHIELD gain a VP if Fury is KO'd?
Negoldar replied to kollar's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
No. Nick Fury’s Last Line of Defense will not trigger when he is KO’d. -
Yes.

You may be securing the token, but the Crisis card in question does not consider whether or not a player is securing it. It only counts the characters contesting it.

The second part of Kingpin’s Illicit Network Leadership ability applies when players are attempting to determine which player is securing an objective token. Mutant Madman Turns City Into Lethal Amusement Park does not use the securing rules (it uses the control rules instead) so the second part of Illicit Network does not come into play. This is typical of Crisis cards that use the control rules.

Carnage’s maximum carnage attack
Negoldar replied to Chris S's topic in Marvel: Crisis Protocol Rules Questions
When a rule mentioned “this character” it means the character whose card it is printed on. In this case, that is Carnage. -
