Hello, A standby token is spent when the triggering action is completed. Therefore, if the unit was in Line of Sight at the start of a move, but is out of LoS, a standby token couldn't be triggered. Likewise, if the triggering unit started out of Line of Sight but ended the move in LoS, you could then spend a friendly standby token (assuming all other conditions are met). Hope that helps! TP

Combination of Guardian and Force Barrier
TalkPolite replied to Leslie's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, No. A unit using Guardian is not the defender of an attack, which is one of the triggers for being the target of Force Barrier. TP -
Hello, Yes, that is correct. TP

Mercenary order restrictions
TalkPolite replied to pcgamerpirate's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, Comms relay and Battle meditation do not override the Affiliation/Mercenary order restrictions. You still need to share an affiliation with that unit to issue them an order. TP- 1 reply

Magnaguards,retinue and commander token.
TalkPolite replied to Darth Stoicus's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, That is how the keyword used to work. Retinue in the Core Rules Book now says "Another friendly unit....", which means a unit of Magnaguard that has been promoted will not trigger it's own Retinue keyword. TP -
Hello, Yes, per the Golden Rules of Terrain, players should discuss the features of a piece of terrain and when it grants cover. That depends on the way in which the terrain was discussed to provide cover at the start of the game. TP

Lethal X vs Inmune Pierce
TalkPolite replied to Darth Stoicus's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, That is incorrect. Lethal x allows the attacker to gain the pierce keyword in that attack pool. When a unit is immune : pierce, the pierce keyword is not added to the attack pool. Hope that helps! TP -

Miniatures Overlapping Condition Tokens
TalkPolite replied to JhayRhod's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, That is correct. TP -
Hello, Correct, you cannot place the displaced miniature in base contact with an enemy mini. When the unit leader is displaced, they are placed within a speed-1 distance, and any minis now out of cohesion are placed into cohesion. The important thing to note is, as long as the creature trooper ends in base contact with one miniature in the enemy trooper unit, the rest of the unit will join the engagement like normal after displacement is resolved. Echo strike team wound assigning
TalkPolite replied to Rogue_frisbee's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, That's correct. The unit can suffer two wounds, as that is Echo's wound threshold, and the second wound would be assigned to the miniature out of Line of Sight. TP -

Yoda Command cards and End phase
TalkPolite replied to EvincarPresto's topic in Star Wars: Legion Rules Questions
Hello, The Core Rule Book on page 5 states: "This rulebook contains the core rules of Star Wars: Legion. Some special rules, keywords, or cards may contradict these rules. When they do, the special rule takes precedence over the core rules found in this rulebook." This allows Yoda to return the cards to your command hand, as described on each card. TP -
Hello, Yes. Most abilities and card effects, belonging to the targeted unit can be used by the player that played "You Serve Your Master Well". An exception would be an ability like Spur, which can only be used by the “controlling player”. Charge and Relentless are examples of abilities that can be used. TP
