  1. Hi, Unless specified otherwise by players during Setup (for example, by "breaking up" an exceptionally large piece of terrain into discrete pieces of terrain), a terrain feature is a single object with the Terrain Height determined from the table surface to its highest point. This does mean that a unit of Geonosian Warriors can be physically below Height 3, on a lower level or platform or otherwise, but still considered to be overlapping a piece of Height 3 terrain for the purposes of the Death from Above keyword. -------------------------------------------------------- Yes. Hope this helps, Seth
  2. Hi there, A unit with the Speeder X keyword will perform a compulsory move at the start or end of its Perform Actions step. This move is a (standard) compulsory move, and so will qualify for a wide variety of game effects that may be performed while moving or after a move, including an overrun attack. --------------------------------------- No; you may perform an overrun attack following a compulsory move made at the end of the Perform Actions step as well. While not critical to answering the above question, note that an overrun attack is not an attack action, and so can be performed by a unit even if they perform an attack action during their activation. Hope this helps, Seth
  3. Hi there, If an aim token is spent to improve the range of a weapon using the Long Shot keyword, that weapon's range will be improved until the end of that attack sequence. This does mean that, if the unit also has the Gunslinger keyword, it may use that keyword during the Declare Additional Defender step to form another attack pool against another unit using the improved range of that weapon without spending a second aim token to do so. This will be made more clear in a future update. --------------------------------------- One aim token, when spent for Long Shot when forming the first attack pool, will improve the range of the weapon for both attack pools. Hope this helps, Seth
  4. Hi there, As stated by the You Serve Your Master Well command card free card action, the affected enemy unit "can attack and start a melee with other enemy units." And given in the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook introduction to Melee, "When two miniatures controlled by opposing players are in base contact, those units are in melee." Therefore, if an enemy unit targeted by Luke Skywalker's You Serve Your Master Well has any of its miniatures in base contact with another enemy unit, they are considered in melee with one another, as they can start a melee with other enemy units. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, the unit targeted by You Serve Your Master Well can start a melee with other enemy units, and will do so if any of its miniatures are in base contact with another enemy unit. No. Miniatures in a unit in melee who are not yet in base contact with opposing miniatures are placed into base contact with enemy miniatures either when Moving Into Melee or after suffering wounds in melee (see the Removing Miniatures in Melee call-out). As neither of these things have occurred in your given scenario (yet!), no miniatures in either unit will be moved. Hope this helps, Seth
  5. Hello, A unit with Agile (or Tactical) receives the specified tokens after it performs a standard move as part of an action or free action. If they do not perform an action, as is the case when they are targeted by the Force Push upgrade card, they will receive no tokens. ----------------------------------------------------- No, they will not gain a dodge token. Hope this helps, Seth
  6. Hi there, The condition tokens placed with the Minefield condition card detonate after a non-repulsor unit performs a move in range 1 and LOS of the token. As a pivot is a move action (even if a free one with the Reposition keyword), yes, a condition token will detonate after that pivot is performed in range 1 and LOS of the token. Hope this helps, Seth
  7. Hi there, The move granted by Scout X is a standard move. As such, it cannot be replaced with a reverse or strafe, and must use the front notches of the miniature. Hope this helps, Seth
  8. Hello, No. The attack action will end prior to resolving further attack pools if the attacking unit is defeated by a keyword such as Deflect. Note that, as specified by Deflect, that attack will still continue, and the deflecting unit is still eligible to suffer wounds from the last attack pool. Hope this helps, Seth
  9. Hello, Yes, the speed-1 move made as part of a disembark may indeed trigger the Steady keyword. Note that, if a unit disembarks from a transport that made more than one non-pivot move that round, the disembarking unit may perform no further actions or free actions, and so may not use Steady to make a free ranged attack. Hope this helps, Seth
  10. Hello, To reproduce the relevant text from the Overrun entry below, for reference: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, they may perform an overrun attack after such a move, so long as their movement was placed legally and overlapped an enemy unit when doing so. Note: for most units, "When placing the movement tool, it may not overlap an obstacle terrain feature that is taller than the moving miniature's silhouette" (from Moving Through Terrain). For your unit specifically, Swoop Bikers modify this to ignore terrain equal to or less than height X, thanks to their Speeder X keyword. As elements of the pictured obstacle terrain are too tall for them to ignore using Speeder X, they may not place their movement tool overlapping those features. Assuming the above rules are followed in placing the movement tool, they may perform an overrun attack at the end of such a move, even if the miniatures are stopped short as they move along the movement tool. No, this unit may not perform an overrun attack following this move, as their movement tool is not placed in a legal fashion and so they cannot perform this move as-pictured at all. For more detail, refer to the rules quoted above; as the Swoop Bikers cannot ignore this height 2 terrain, they may not place their movement tool overlapping it. As an overrun attack is not an action - free or otherwise - it may be performed after a move that was ended prematurely due to the edge of the table. Hope this helps, Seth
  11. Hi there, A unit may perform overrun attacks during its activation. A unit may not perform overrun attacks during move actions made outside of its activation. --------------------------- No, as the Geonosian Warriors are performing a free move action during the Command Phase and not during their activation. They may only make X overrun attacks during their own activation. Hope this helps, Seth
  12. Hello, The Guardian X keyword may be applied when the appropriate unit is defending against an attack. Wounds Emperor Palpatine applies to himself using the card text of the And Now... You Will Die command card are not part of an attack sequence - as Emperor Palpatine is not defending against an attack, Guardian cannot be applied. Hope this helps, Seth
  13. Hello, A unit can only perform X overrun attacks per turn. Flipping an upgrade card does not "reset" the count. Hope this helps, Seth
  14. Hi there, The Let the Executions Begin command card allows you (the player), not Poggle the Lesser, to issue additional orders at range 1 of him. As these additional orders are not issued by Poggle the Lesser, upgrade cards that modify the range at which a unit can issue orders (Commanding Presence) or be issued orders by Commander or Operative units (Long-Range Comlink, Integrated Comms Antenna) will have no affect on this range. No. Hope this helps, Seth
  15. Hello, Yes, Darth Vader may issue an order to the LAAT/le Patrol Transport using the Battle Meditation upgrade card. The LAAT/le Patrol Transport may then issue an order to Darth Vader using the Onboard Comms Channel upgrade card, assuming Darth Vader is eligible to be issued an order (i.e. he has not already been issued an order during that Command Phase). Hope this helps, Seth
  16. Hello, "A unit cannot perform an attack action and a standby action in the same activation." The AI Coordination command card grants a standby token (not a standby action). Furthermore, even if it were a standby action - as is the case with Director Krennic's Deploy the Garrison command card - as it is occurring outside of their activation, the unit would not be breaking that restriction, as they are not performing the attack or standby actions during the same activation. Yes, the Support or Heavy unit may gain a standby token during the command phase and still attack at some point during their activation later in the round. --------------------------------------- No, only a unit that is issued an order using this card may gain a standby token - additional orders issued from other sources, including keywords such as Coordinate, will not also grant standby tokens. Hope this helps, Seth
  17. Hello there, I believe was answered elsewhere, but to specifically address Cover X in a post of its own: The Death from Above keyword allows the Geonosian Warriors unit to ignore cover - from any source - assuming all conditions for the keyword are met. If the Geonosian Warriors' unit leader is on non-area terrain of great height than any terrain the defending unit may be overlapping, the defending unit cannot use cover to cancel hit results. This will include cover granted by keywords and game effects other than terrain, such that granted by the Cover X keyword. ------------------------------------------------ Yes. Hope this helps, Seth
  18. Hi there, As specified in the Nominate Commanders and Issue Orders step of the Command Phase (page 20 of the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook at time of writing), for a commander to issue an order to a unit, the unit cannot have already received an order during the current Command Phase. If a unit returns its order token to the order pool as per the text of the We Make Weapons command card, it cannot again be issued an order during that same Command Phase. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- No. Hope this helps, Seth
  19. Hello! Yes - while the Fear and Dead Men command card is in play, Darth Vader will suffer wounds as normal when he rolls blanks with his defend dice. He will also deal a wound to the attacking unit, assuming his Deflect keyword has been used for that attack. Hope this helps, Seth
  20. Hello, The only secret information when getting ready to play is a player’s Command Hand. Their Battle Deck is indeed open information. Note that, as the Select Player Color and Sides step of Setup occurs prior to Reveal Battle Cards, these cards will not be fully dealt out until after table sides are determined. Hope this helps, Seth
  21. Hello, Yes. If their movement tool overlaps an enemy unit, they may indeed perform an overrun attack on that unit after performing the move, even if the overrunning unit performs a partial move and ends “short” of the unit they overrun. Hope this helps, Seth
  22. Hello, If the defending repulsor vehicle unit is not overlapping any terrain, and the attacking Geonosian Warriors unit leader is overlapping a piece of non-area terrain, then they will ignore cover for that attack. This will include cover granted by keywords such as Cover X, and not only cover granted by terrain. Hope this helps, Seth
  23. Hello, Yes, a unit may perform an overrun attack after a move into base contact with an enemy unit, if the criteria to perform such an attack were met during the move (i.e. an enemy mini was overlapped during the move). Hope this helps, Seth
  24. Hello, The Death From Above keyword allows the affected unit to ignore cover while its unit leader is overlapping a piece of non-area terrain of greater height than any terrain the defending unit leader may be overlapping. If the defending unit leader is not overlapping any terrain and the Geonosian Warriors are overlapping height 1 (or greater) non-area terrain, they will indeed ignore cover when performing that attack. ————————————————— The Geonosian Warriors will ignore cover when performing this attack, as they are overlapping non-area terrain of greater height than any the defending unit leader is overlapping (in this case - none!). Hope this helps, Seth
  25. Hello, If you do place Yoda into base contact with Chewbacca when prompted by the Size Matters Sometimes command card, Yoda cannot perform moves while the command card is in play. This will still be the case even if Chewbacca is defeated during the round. ———————————————— No. Hope this helps, Seth
