  1. Hello, It applies to the entire objective card (and game). A unit may not claim a second objective token when playing the Bombing Run objective card. Hope this helps, Seth
  2. Hi there, The Reposition keyword may be used before or after a unit performs a standard move. The speed-1 move provided by the Force Push upgrade card is a standard move. ----------------------------------- Yes. Hope this helps, Seth
  3. Hi, The first line of the card still applies: you must nominate a Mercenary unit. As Padmé Amidala and R2-D2 are not Mercenary units, they may not be the nominated commander when the Ploy command card is played. Hope this helps, Seth
  4. Hi, After an attack is resolved, "starting with the attacking player, each player must place any friendly miniatures that are no longer in base contact with miniatures in the enemy unit into base contact with the enemy unit." These placements therefore apply to any friendly miniatures in melee (prior to miniatures being defeated), not strictly the unit that just attacked. ----------------------------------------------- Yes, Yoda may be placed into base contact with the enemy unit following the attacks made by the Wookiees. Note that the attacking player may place units in either order; if the Wookiees are placed prior in such a way that Yoda cannot be placed into base contact with an enemy miniature, Yoda does not move and is no longer in melee. Hope this helps, Seth
  5. Hello, The text of the Whistling Birds command card provides a unique action, as communicated by the action arrow preceding the text. It is not an attack action or it would be referred to as such. Because it is not an attack action, Din Djarin may indeed perform an attack action during the same turn in which he uses the Whistling Birds card action. No, as it is not an attack (and therefore does not have a Reroll Attack Dice step in which to spend them). Hope this helps, Seth
  6. Hi there, Correct. As you note, there is no rule specifying that small base troopers block the movement of one another nor would displace one another. A small base trooper unit may indeed move through other small based troopers, engaged or otherwise. Hope this helps, Seth
  7. Hello, The effects of the Aggressive Negotiations command card, as stated on the card, occur "When Padmé Amidala issues an order to a trooper unit...". An order issued with the Direct keyword is issued by the unit using the keyword - in your example, the Clone Commander or Clone Commander Cody. As this order was not issued by Padmé Amidala, the unit so ordered will not satisfy the requirements given by the text of the Aggressive Negotiations command card, and will not perform a free move nor gain any tokens. --------------------------------------- No. Hope this helps, Seth
  8. Hello, When embarked upon a vehicle with the Transport X: Open keyword, yes. When embarked upon a vehicle with the Transport X: Closed keyword, no, as the only action, free or otherwise, that such units may perform is a move action to disembark. As stated in the Embark and Disembark entry, "A unit may not embark and disembark in the same activation." Hope this helps, Seth
  9. Hello, The command card Anti-Capture Protocols - and every other command card unless specified otherwise, such as with the Permanent keyword - is only in effect for the round in which it is played. If IG-11 has 3 or more wounds at the end of his activation on a round that the Anti-Capture Protocols command card is not in play, nothing further happens as the card and its effects are not in play. Selecting and playing the command card during the Command Phase is optional. If it is played, IG-11 will perform the attack if he has 3 or more wounds at the end of his activation, as instructed. If it is in your command card discard pile, nothing happens - the command card is not in play. Hope this helps, Seth
  10. Hello, Yes. Hope this helps, Seth
  11. Hello, Yes, a unit performs a speed-1 embark move during a move action, instead of another type of movement, to embark - and then sacrifices an action in the case of the Transport X: Closed keyword. Not quite. A unit may make an embark during a move action instead of making another type of move. While this is a speed-1 move action, the action is not complete until the unit has embarked. If a unit embarks upon a vehicle with the Transport X: Closed keyword, it may not perform attacks following. See above. Note that this ruling has been updated to better match prior posts. Hope this helps, Seth
  12. Hello, As specified in the Moving Into Melee entry, "...the opposing player moves all of their own miniatures in the unit that are not currently in base contact with an enemy miniature into base contact with miniatures from the enemy unit that started the melee." The rules do specify, as quoted above. Miniatures in Unit B that are in base contact with an opposing miniature in Unit A are currently in base contact with an enemy miniature, and so will not be moved into Unit C. As above, miniatures in Unit B will remain in place if they are in base contact with an enemy miniature. Only miniatures in Unit B that are not presently in base contact with an enemy miniature (from any unit) will be placed into base contact with Unit C. Hope this helps, Seth
  13. Hello, Conditions tokens placed per the Minefield condition card detonates "...after a non-repulsor unit performs a move, if it is at range 1 and in line of sight of a condition token...". --------------------------------------------- No, as this unit was deployed and did not perform a move. Yes; this unit performed a free move using the Scout X keyword. Yes, a repulsor vehicle with the Hover: Ground keyword blocks LOS as a ground vehicle would. Then it is not placed. Note that this profoundly unlikely on a 6-foot by 3-foot table when tokens only need be range 1 from a deployment zone and range 2 from another condition token. Hope this helps, Seth
  14. Hello, As specified by the Fixed: Front/Rear weapon keyword, "...the defending unit may have at least one of its miniature's bases partially inside the specified firing arc...". It does not specify that a miniature must also be in LOS. ------------------------------------------------------------ Yes, the emplacement trooper unit could use its Fixed: Front weapon to target the Tauntaun Riders unit. No; the emplacement trooper unit did not need to perform a pivot. Hope this helps, Seth
  15. Hello, As the Precision Scopes Supply Drop card may be exhausted "...during the Roll Attack Dice step..." (and not specifically at the start of that step), it may indeed be exhausted for an aim token after attack dice are rolled. Hope this helps, Seth
  16. Hi there, No. The example provided in the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook is one of many eligible ways the Phase I Clone Troopers unit could have been placed into base contact with the B1 Battle Droids unit. As stated under the Moving Into Melee text, all miniatures should be placed into base contact with enemy miniatures if able and in cohesion, or simply in cohesion if not able to be placed into base contact with an enemy miniature. Neither player is required to "pair off" miniatures, nor are they required to preferentially place their miniatures into base contact with enemy miniatures who are not yet in base contact with anyone. They simply must be placed into base contact with an enemy miniature - any enemy miniature from that unit into which they moved. Yes, this the player moving into melee may place multiple of their miniatures into base contact with one enemy miniature. The opposing player will then place their miniatures not yet in base contact into base contact. Hope this helps, Seth
  17. Hello, As stated under Climbing (page 25 at time of writing), miniatures on notched bases may not climb. This would include Ground Vehicles and Repulsor Vehicles. No, as these are vehicles and may not perform climb moves. They may move over obstacle terrain shorter than their silhouette unimpeded just as small-based miniatures do, but if faced with taller terrain they do not have the option of performing a climb move. Exceptions to this would be vehicles such as the AT-RT or DSD-1 Dwarf Spider Droid, which have the Climbing Vehicle keyword to allow them to perform climb moves as if they were trooper miniatures. Hope this helps, Seth
  18. Hello, No. If the attack pool contains only weapons with the High Velocity keyword, the defending unit cannot spend dodge tokens. There is no alternative timing for spending dodge tokens while defending against an attack. The difference here is that when an attack results in only crits, there is no game effect that prevents a unit from spending dodge tokens. The High Velocity keyword prevents dodge tokens from being spent, whether or not they are used to cancel a hit. Hope this helps, Seth
  19. Hello, During its Perform Actions step, a unit may only perform each action (free or otherwise) once per activation, except for the move action. ---------------------------------- Yes, they may perform their free action Jump 3 irrespective of the number of move actions performed during their turn. Hope this helps, Seth
  20. Hello, The "Moving into Melee" process has the players - first the player moving into melee, and then the player controlling the opposing unit - places miniatures not yet in base contact with an enemy miniature (in no particular order) into base contact with enemy miniatures. If they cannot be (because there is no more room to be placed into base contact with enemy miniatures) they are placed in cohesion. The unit must be in cohesion after resolving all of these placements. Yes; if there is no room to place the unit leader in base contact with an enemy miniature after an enemy unit moves into melee with them, the unit leader will be placed in such a way that will ensure all miniatures to be in cohesion. If the unit leader of an engaged unit is not in base contact with an enemy miniature when it performs its withdraw, it may indeed end further than speed-1 from the enemy unit from which it withdrew. Hope this helps, Seth
  21. Hello, Yes. "Units may spend dodge tokens even if there are no <Hit> results in the attack pool" from the Apply Dodge step of the Apply Dodge and Cover attack timing. Hope this helps, Seth
  22. Hello, A unit may not perform moves while engaged. A withdraw must be performed during their activation and requires sacrificing their other actions during that activation: a free standard move granted by an ability that provides moves may not be used to perform a withdraw. ------------------------------------ No. Hope this helps, Seth
  23. Hello, If Cad Bane's "Here I Am" token is revealed while he is embarked, as he is not on the battlefield, he will follow the given sequence for how to resolve the Bane token while he is not on the battlefield: replace the token with his miniature, and Cad Bane while then issue himself an order. Hope this helps, Seth
  24. Hello, A unit may use the Fire Support keyword to add its eligible weapons to an attack pool of a ranged attack targeting a unit affected by the Inconspicuous keyword. As they (the unit with Fire Support) are not performing an attack, they are not affected by the Inconspicuous keyword, only the unit initially declaring and performing the attack is so restricted. --------------------------------------- The Clone Trooper unit and it's Z-6 trooper may indeed use Fire Support to add their weapons' attack dice and keywords to the ARC Troopers' ranged attack pool, regardless of the presence of other enemy units at range 3 and LOS of them without the Inconspicuous keyword. Hope this helps, Seth
  25. Hello, "A unit whose maximum speed is 0 and has at least one immobilize token cannot perform moves of any kind." (emphasis mine) This does include a pivot. ----------------------------------------- No. Hope this helps, Seth
